I bought this to replace a pair of Oakley fuel cell that I have had for about 10years that finally broke. Putting the new pair next to my old ones, there are some differences Oakley has made some changes over the years, but I am fairly certain these are authentic. Ever since my first pair of Oakley's in 8th grade I tend to go with this brand and have never been disappointed. Believe it or not I had this exact same pair of sunglasses and they were stolen from me inside the Federal Building in Boston, in front of security and cameras, from the X-ray machine. Somebody had the guts to swipe them right off the tray. Anyhow, I plan to be more careful with these ones in the future.Price Value Quality
The glass is excellent, reds and greens really pop, and the clouds in the sky on a clear day have a beautiful contrast. I tried on multiple Flak XL glasses and this was the best color for my purpose (Golf Rose dark). It's not super dark so you can trail run or walk in the woods on a sunny day and see the path but the glass is dark enough to provide good coverage unless you are in direct sunlight on the beach or something, in which case go with darker glass. For the $155 price and after reading reviews, I was wondering if I would only receive the glasses. To my surprise the classes came with a soft bag, a leash and a hard case. While I haven't worn them fishing yet, the rosy brown hue should be perfect for seeing through the water. My eye doctor recently told me I need to start wearing sunglasses when playing golf due to the long term damaging effects of the sun on our eyes. Read some reviews on top rated sunglasses for golfers and decided to try the Oakleys. They are really amazing. I was not planning on hitting shots with them on but they are so clear I was able to play with them. They hug the face so no movement orvslippage. Also they gave great contrast on the greens and was able to see contours and breaks I couldn't see without them. I actually am playing better as well as protecting my eyes from harmful uva.
