These "Men's" sunglasses work for women as well. I will bike with no other lenses. Other lenses provide shade, but also shade areas of the road I need to see clearly. No matter what the sun/shade conditions, these lenses brighten/filter enough to wear during bright sun or afternoon dusk. They were comfortable enough to wear during a fitness class with jumping jacks.
