These fake Oakley Gascan sunglasses matte black / fire iridium gave good sun coverage. They are not real dark, dark enough for an average sunny day in an average location. I'm not sure how they would work in the tropics. I used them in Hawaii and found they worked in most situations-the darker ones that I have were too dark. they are attractive and fit well, not flimsy.
